Watch & Learn App

Misinformation is infamous in our society. Previous elections, the war in Ukraine, and the COVID-19 pandemic demonstrate how people can fall victim to conspiracy. In our HCI class, we were tasked with combating misinformation. We created a prototype for the Watch & Learn application. This application served as a companion that would listen to current television shows and identify statements containing misinformation. Identifying misinformation from our app leads to debunking messages sent to your phone. These would provide easily comprehensible evidence debunking misinformation based on trustworthy sources. Our assignment included researching misinformation, developing the prototype, and conducting usability testing.
